Three Loveland, Colorado Police Officers Assaulted 73-Year Old Woman and Lost Their Jobs

Three police in Loveland, Colorado was forced to resign after they were caught on camera celebrating the brutal handling of a 73-year old woman with Dementia. Loveland police officers (Austin Hopp, Daria Jalali, and Tyler Blackett) arrested Karen Garner after she mistakenly attempted to walk out of Wal-Mart with $13.88 worth of goods.

On June 26, 2020, Garner was met with excessive force by police officers even though she left the store without the item. Loveland police office surveillance cameras caught Hopp, Jalali, and Blackett laughing and making light of Garner's arrest as they viewed the body camera footage. According, Loveland Police Chief Robert Ticer, Hopp, Jalali, and Blackett are no longer employed.
