The 11th Annual Prince of Prestige Academy Awards Competition
Welcome to the Prince of Prestige Academy Award
Officially named the POP Academy of Excellence in Cinematic Arts (PAECA). The PAECA Award is an accolade bestowed by the Prince of Prestige Academy Award (POPAA), recognizing excellence in cinematic arts, both domestic and foreign. The PAECA trophy stands 10½ inches tall and weighs in at 1 pound 5 ounces. It is a gold metal flame that sits on a square mahogany tower base. The flame features four bars. The nameplate showcases the POP Phoenix wing logo, the category awarded, the film title, and the director/actor. Achievements in up to 8 categories are announced every year. Although the number of categories is known in advance, the possibility exists that some categories may not be represented from year to year.

PAECA AWARD FOR BEST US MADE FEATURE FILM (CERTIFICATE)
The POP Award for Best USA Feature Film is given to a feature-length motion picture produced in the United States of America with a predominantly English dialogue track.
PAECA AWARD FOR BEST PERFORMANCE BY AN ACTOR (CERTIFICATE)
The POP Award for Best male performance is given in honor of an actor who has delivered an outstanding performance in a film.
PAECA AWARD FOR BEST PERFORMANCE BY AN ACTRESS (CERTIFICATE)
The POP Best Female Performance Award is an award given in honor of an actress who has delivered an outstanding performance in a film.
PAECA AWARD FOR BEST FOREIGN LANGUAGE FILM (TROPHY)
The POP Award for Best Foreign Language Film is one given to a feature-length motion picture produced outside the United States of America with a predominantly non-English dialogue track.
PAECA AWARD FOR BEST DOCUMENTARY PROJECT (TROPHY)
The POP Academy Award for Best Documentary Film is awarded for all the directing, story, music composing, writing, editing and other efforts put forth in a documentary film.
PAECA AWARD FOR BEST ANIMATED PROJECT (CERTIFICATE)
The POP Award for Best Animated Project is given each year for animated films. The best animated is awarded to both feature and short films.
PAECA AWARD FOR BEST US MADE SHORT FILM (CERTIFICATE)
The POP Award for Best USA Short Film is given to a Short-length motion picture produced in the United States of America with a predominantly English dialogue track.
PAECA AWARD FOR BEST CINEMATOGRAPHY (CERTIFICATE)
The POP Award for Best Cinematography is an is awarded each year to a cinematographer for work on one particular motion picture submitted to POPAA.
PAECA AWARD FOR BEST CINEMATIC DIRECTION (CERTIFICATE)
The POP Academy Award for Best Cinematic Direction is presented annually in honor of a film director who has exhibited outstanding directing while working in the film industry.
PAECA AWARD FOR BEST SOUND [MIXING, SCORE, ORIGINAL MUSIC] (CERTIFICATE)
The POP Award for Best Sound is awarded for best sound editing each year to the sound team of the winning film for work on one particular motion picture submitted to POPAA. The director or producers in the film will not accept this award unless he or she is also the sound mixer.
PAECA AWARD FOR BEST SHORT FILM (TROPHY)
The POP Award for Best Short Film is given to the best short-length - for all the directing, acting, music composing, writing, editing and other efforts put forth into a film production.
PAECA AWARD FOR BEST COMEDY OR MUSICAL (CERTIFICATE)
The POP Award for Best Comedy or Musical is given to a feature-length or short film in the comedy or musical film genre.
PAECA AWARD FOR BEST MOTION PICTURE (TROPHY)
The POP Academy Award for Best Motion Picture is the premier award at POPAA given to the producers of the best feature-length film submitted to the Prince of Prestige Academy Awards (for its directing, acting, music composing, writing, editing, and other efforts put forth into a film production). Only one PAECA trophy will be awarded. Individual PAECA certificates will be awarded to each producer.
PAECA AWARD FOR BEST THRILLER OR HORROR (CERTIFICATE)
The POP Award for Best Thriller or Horror is given to a feature-length or short film in the thriller and horror genre.
