Once a person is victimized, that individual develops an innate sense to detect predators lurking in the midst. Victims can often detect the presence of a predatory threat and recognize traits generally unidentifiable to people who never experienced abuse. I can argue that this phenomenon is at the core of Rihanna's (an actual domestic abuse victim) unwavering support for another domestic abuse survivor, Johnny Depp.
Rihanna represents the perspective of the real world as opposed to the fake world of Twitter, mainstream media, and cable news. The objective of these entities is to gaslight the public consistently. Everything in this fake world is intended to distort your reality, not to give you the facts. The truth is that "real" victims of domestic violence can often detect abusive characteristics in others and have detected the preditor in Amber Heard. No paid mainstream campaign will change this truth.

In 2009, R&B star Chris Brown violently assaulted pop sensation Rihanna, his ex-girlfriend. The Barbadian singer presented a photograph depicting the injuries she endured. The world listened to Rihanna's story and supported her because her account of the events was believable.
As uncovered in the six-week public trial, Amber Heard fabricated her sexual and physical abuse allegations against Johnny Depp and, vindictively, set out to ruin his life and career. Rihanna possesses the instinct to see through Heard's facade. Like many, Rihanna sees Heard for who she really is - an abuser. However, acknowledging that Amber Heard is a husband abuser and pathological liar is a truth some people are unwilling to voice publicly. But in the real world, victims like Rihanna have stepped up to support her fellow domestic abuse survivor, Johnny Depp.
According to TMZ reporting, Rihanna has spearheaded the effort to have Johnny Depp appear as a featured guest in her up-and-coming Savage X Fenty Vol. 4 fashion show. Including Depp in the Fenty show is excellent news for the people who have been advocating for Depp's return to his formal glory. Rihanna's bravery and support for Depp is no small feat. It appears that Depp's career is slowly on the uptick.
